Dead Sleep

In this story about women who go missing and then have their dead images appear in paintings, Isles does an excellent job in developing the characters and their connections to one another. And this is important because the subject matter here is often harsh and without this development of characters, it would simply be a brutal story. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time and liked the ending.

I loved this book! The science behind the neuroparacites and the black rocks was interesting and made sense. I also liked how the relationship between the characters developed and evolved. I just wish the MFC could focus a little more on the plot rather than THIRSTING OVER HER PROFESSOR!!!!

Excellent book. I almost put it down after a few pages, but I persevered and am glad I did. Very well written, interesting novel. Expats from Jamaica in England whose lives intersect and secrets are unraveled as the book progresses. Twists and turns I did not see coming. Looking forward to the next book by this author.
