Final book in the series. Start at book 1. Sad to see the series end. Excellent series of a young woman from early life through adulthood in pre-War England.

This is one of those books where it starts off looking like it is about one thing, but it is really about something else, and even that isn’t completely clear. The author leads you along the path of discovery where many of the characters are not who they appear to be. Reading this is like discovering new stories along the way. And, as always, child’s central character, Jack Reacher, is enigmatic. I enjoyed this book very much.

This story was so much fun. At first, it sounds like a simple plot; a family comes to rent a house while to father is in the country on business. It’s a really nice house, and at first, it’s all about adapting to the new life. But as this new life settles in, a darker side of it begins to emerge. I did not see the turn at the end coming,

A great book for Bedtime Story Telling that will give you chills. Based upon local legends and stories, each scary adventure is thrilling. Terrific pen and ink illustrations accompany each brief story. It’s a great introduction for young and old alike to the longer stories of Edgar Allen Poe.

This was such an interesting book. This is one of those cases where the story sounds like one story but is really something else. It begins with a nurse who is taking care of a patient who is in a coma. But odd things begin happening and even these complications are not what they seem, If you like a real thriller, this is the one for you!

Excellent (old) book on the power of the subconscious mind and the ability of the conscious mind to work with the subconscious mind to achieve goals.

This was such a good book! While the story was about a family of lawyers, the book is more about the family members and their dynamic. The family’s “good” son comes to the family’s less respected son to ask for help; he’s gotten himself into a serious situation and really needs his brother. But what plays out is more an act of betrayal and deception with the good son willing to risk everything for a price.

What a delightfully different book! A female writer for a late night skit comedy show, The Night Owls”, finds herself seriously attracted to a celebrity guest host. She’s been hurt before and can’t believe that this amazingly famous person would be seriously interested in her. But while she works that out, we get an exciting look into the world of comedy sketch writing, and that alone is worth reading the book for.

Great mystery/thriller. Dark secrets, great characters and what a fantastic twist at the end! Wow!

This is one of my all time favorite books by King. In this book, Lisey’s husband Scott is a famous author, and while she is deeply in love with him, Scott has some unusual behaviors, one of which is visiting a land where people who are catatonic go. He also has a bizarre family history which is how he discovered this place. But when Scott dies and Lisey is threatened with danger, she goes there too. This is a wonderful tale with all of the trappings that Stephen King is famous for.
